Tablets can be a wonderfully portable way to stream shows, take notes and browse the web, and they’re just so much more fun than a stuffy laptop. But which should you choose? Finding the perfect tablet can be daunting, but the Google Pixel Tablet is a fantastic option for people who use other Android devices. You can get yours for just just $279 at Amazon right now, but we can’t vouch for how long this $120 savings is going to last. We do know that this price matches the price we saw during Black Friday sales, and that means it’s unlikely to get much cheaper any time soon.

The Google Pixel Tablet is the first Android tablet to use Google’s own Tensor G2 chip, just like in the Pixel phones, making it fast and smooth when opening apps, playing games and streaming all your favorite movies and TV shows. It’s also easy on the battery, ensuring you won’t need to reach for that charger too often.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

Note that this version of the Pixel Tablet does not include the charging speaker dock, which CNET’s Scott Stein loved in his review. That version is not on sale and will cost you $499, but it does essentially act as a smart home hub, so it may be worth the splurge for some. For everyone else, the base 11-inch tablet for just $279 may be an ideal investment.

Not sure that the Pixel Tablet is for you or prefer something with a different set of features? We’ve rounded up the all the best tablet deals in one place, so you can get one of the latest models for less.
